Our top of the range RSM-9 is a classic recording ribbon
microphone which features a double sided 0.02mm pure
aluminum foil. It can handle a SPL of 130dB and incorporates
a low cut switch together with a 10dB pad switch conveniently
located on the microphone body. The microphone features
active electronics designed with high quality components
for an outstanding sound quality.

The RSM-9 is a phantom powered, active ribbon microphone.
The electronics place a perfect impedance load on the ribbon
element, greatly expanding the number of preamps that will
match up well with the RSM-9.

Active Ribbon Microphone are much more sensitive than
passive ones. In addition, passive ribbon mics depend
entirely on the input impedance of the preamp they’re mated
with to set the proper impedance to the ribbon element. 
Simply put, even the best ribbon mics can sound mediocre 
if they’re plugged into the wrong mic pre. With the RSM-9,
gain and impedance issues are a thing of the past.
